Combat Dry Nights: CSpring Mk2 for Low CPAP Water Levels

I was having trouble getting my water chamber to fill correctly and called. I sent in a picture of my sensors. This company has great service and I was told how to remedy it and they sent new sensors! Now no problem and working like a dream! Th CSpring

This device solved my problem of my CPAP machine's humidifier running out of water in the middle of the night every night. I can't think of a better way to solve that issue outside of Resmed redesigning their machine.

It does have one rather frustrating aspect, though unrelated to its function - you can either have the blindingly bright white LED power indicator and in-tank "mood lighting" on or off - when it is on, it lights up the room, and bright white is the absolute worst color temperature for sleep, like having an always-on mini wake light on your nightstand; but if you set the light to off, the unit is visibly indistinguishable from being entirely turned off, so, if it were to lose power for any reason, you would have no way of telling beyond your tank being empty in the morning.

I don't know how anyone thought it was a good idea to have the power indicator be a bright white halo of doom, or to have disco lights in the tank. All it needed was a simple, small and dim LED, ideally red so as to not mess with your circadian rhythm or dark adaptation, to show that yes, the device is on. But the only options available are party-time illumination or nothing at all.

Don't get me wrong, everything related to its actual functional purpose is great - but I shouldn't have to sleep with a sleep mask every night because of my CPAP water tank.

I've only used the device for 5 nights. So far, all is as advertised. I'm hoping the same is true over the long haul. The construction looks fairly good.

I placed the Spill Protection Tray under the CSpring MK2 and it is the right size, right shape, right design, right price. It gives peace of mind and, having tested it for a couple of weeks, I will now purchase a 2nd one for the ResMed CPAP machine.

This is a really good system for filling the tank but the on/off button is awkward or not a very good quality. When you push the button to turn it on, doesn't always go on so have to push it a second or third time. Of course the lighted button does tell you when it is on, but it is VERY bright. When you push the button again to turn off the light you have to push the button a couple of times and you can never be sure you didn't accidentally turn off the machine (which I have done.) To check, I tilt my CPAP slightly to make the pump kick on to verify it is on. We are rural and lose power occasionally so never know if the machine is off or ambient light is turned off until the tank goes dry in the middle of the night (I do the tilt test every night). I would have preferred a SMALL light that stays on to let you know the machine is on at a glance bright ambient light is on.

This works well. Not having to deal with empty water chamber everyday is really nice. Love this thing.

Sensor harness (standard 3.5ft)

I recently began CPAP therapy. My setting is high enough that the small tank of water is mostly (or totally) dried out by the time I wake up. The great news is I am getting excellent sleep with the CPAP. But who wants to wake up with a dry mouth? The MK2 Automatic Refilling Machine is great. It is easy to setup and install. I initially had an issue getting the replacement tank seated properly. This was easily corrected. The machine is easy to fill, and it keeps my CPAP humidified so I wake up without feeling like I have stuffed cotton balls in my mouth all night long. I recommend this system for anyone needing CPAP.

CSpring product works as advertised. Shame on RESMED for selling such an expensive cpap with a wholly inadequate water chamber. Will still suffer on vacations NOT GOING TO CARRYING YOUR HUGE PRODUCT ALONG ON VACATIONS SHORTER THAN 2 WEEKS.
